Well hobby time has been in short supply, really busy at work and going to various football matches have taken up a good chunk of my time, but not all bad news. I have gone back to one of my first loves in wargaming and collecting but gone big again! Way back when they first came out I collected Flintloque figures and have a fair collection of painted and unpainted, of course I do!, but having not a lot of time and really not much enthusiasm for painting I have gone with ready painted units direct form Alternative Armies. I always liked the whole Valon aesthetic and the sculpts always raise a smile, not for everyone I know but those that do buy into it are pretty much go all in.
The faces always crack me up, so nicely done, the colour party here look as if they want to be anywhere else but on a battlefield! So my project is going well and will consist of two Orc divisions and a Goblin division against two elf divisions and a toad division, a division consists of three 20 man line units, one twelve man light infantry a ten man cavalry unit and a gun and crew, having three divisions will give me all sorts of scenarios from full table to smaller engagements.
Alternative Armies are a joy to deal with, really top notch customer service, great communication, quick turnaround and some great discounts to be had, can't praise them highly enough.
Other than this I have restarted my Jacobite Rebellion project and actually may well lift a paint brush on this one!! Shock, horror!! So not a lot happening but plenty going on which pleases me. As always I am enjoying my visits to others blogs, gives me real inspiration, so many great blogs out there, keep on blogging folks the enjoyment it gives can't be stated highly enough.
Well that's me for another post, so until next time...
